Finalists at NECA WA Awards

The WA Chapter of the National Electrical and Communication Association (NECA) held their annual NECA State Awards for 2024 on 16th August 2024. These awards highlight the achievements of individuals and companies in the Electrical and Communication industry. 

We are delighted to share the Fredon WA team were finalists in the Excellence Award in Commercial Small Projects as well as finalists in the Excellence in Action Award for Senior Management Engagement.  

Congratulations also to Bianca Vaz De Oliveira who won two Neca awards for 2nd Year Apprentice of the Year as well as Building and Energy Apprentice of the Year. Jack Johnson was also recognised with a Highly Commended 1st Year Apprentice of the Year. Congratulations to both apprentices on a great achievement!

WA State Finalists Commercial Small Projects

Congratulations to Fredon Electrical WA, finalists at the NECA WA awards for Commercial Small Projects. The team successfully upgraded the client’s main switchboard and ensured business continuity for tenants at the fully occupied 18-storey building in Perth’s CBD. Congratulations to everyone involved.  

WA State Finalists Excellence in Action: Senior Management Engagement

Well done to the Fredon WA team for their Excellence in Action recognition. The team were recognised for their commitment to safety with a surge in senior management involvement. By implementing user-friendly software for safety walks and clear communication strategies, they achieved an outstanding 80% increase in safety activities by all management levels over the past year. This proactive approach identified and addressed over 800 safety concerns on-site in real-time, fostering a safer work environment for everyone.  

Bianca Vaz De Oliveira:  2nd Year Apprentice of the Year and Building and Energy Apprentice of the Year.

Bianca is a 2nd year apprentice placed with Fredon and has worked on the Chevron project, Henderson Naval Base, and is currently on the Acacia Prison project. Bianca has been recognised for her exceptional skills, commitment to learning, and her contributions to the team.
