On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the incredible women who contribute so much to the success of our business, industry and communities. CEO Scott Olsen recognised the women in our business.
“We are proud of the achievements, dedication, and leadership of the women in our businesses, and we are grateful for the unique perspectives they bring to everything we do.”
International Women’s Day is not only a time to recognise and celebrate the progress made but also to acknowledge the work still to be done. This year’s theme, For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment reminds us of the importance of ensuring equal access to education, employment, financial services, and literacy. By empowering women with the tools and opportunities to thrive, we strengthen individuals, businesses, and communities alike.
Let us reaffirm our commitment to creating a world where equality is not just a goal but a reality for all women and girls.

Hannah Lee
As an Electrical Estimator, Hannah Lee plays a crucial role in shaping projects from the ground up. Each day brings something new, and she enjoys the opportunity to gain insight into upcoming developments, seeing projects take shape long before they come to life.
Throughout her career, Hannah has faced challenges as a woman in the industry, especially in the early days as an electrician on-site, working in predominantly male teams. Stepping to this environment was initially daunting, but by putting in the effort and finding her voice, Hannah was accepted as one of the team. With the support of male colleagues, she has been able to thrive in her career, and this positive experience continues at Fredon.
Reflecting on the progressing industry, Hannah notes: “It’s also encouraging to witness an increasing number of women entering the trades, as well as the growth of support programs for women in the industry.”
International Women’s Day holds significant meaning for Hannah as it is a moment to promote and celebrate the incredible achievements of women in all their diverse forms. It’s also a day for us all to shine a light on the areas where we still need to strive for greater equality.
The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day, “For All Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment,” resonates deeply with Hannah. It represents the ongoing need for equal opportunities and support for women and girls. Especially in the trades, she believes that men play a crucial role in bridging the gap. Without their support, achieving equality will continue to be a challenge. Small actions, such as hiring more women or supporting programs dedicated to women, can make a meaningful difference in creating a more inclusive and equal industry.

Throughout her career, Roselyn has faced challenges, particularly in establishing credibility as a woman in the AV field. As someone new to the industry, it was important for her to build confidence through continuous learning, asking questions, and gaining practical experience.
