Located in Eastern Creek, the 130,000 square metre mission-critical data centre facility underwent a service infrastructure upgrade.

Fredon undertook supply and installation of the full mechanical systems and associated infrastructure, including building management systems, logistics and the craning of over 400,000 kg of mechanical equipment onto the roof.

The works also incorporated sustainable mechanical designs such as Innovative Indirect Evaporative Cooling, DX Cooling, Direct Evaporative Cooling, VRV refrigeration systems and cold water pumping
infrastructure.

As mentioned by the client, “[This design] takes greater advantage of the local climate and lessens reliance on traditional condenser-based technology…resulting in reduced power consumption and a lower carbon footprint.”
