Fredon is completing the mechanical services at Sydney Metro’s new Pitt Street Station, part of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project.

Pitt St Station is an underground binocular cavern station with two station entries. At completion, the public will also see a high rise building on top of each of the station’s entry locations.

Fredon began design works for the station in October 2019 and commenced work on-site in January 2021. The Mechanical works will include supply and install of:

  • Cooling towers located at Level 4 of the station
  • Three chillers located on Level B2 of the North site
  • 9 Platform and Station air handling units
  • 38 Station fan coil units
  • Computer room air conditioning units
  • Ventilation and smoke management
  • Stair pressurisation
  • Mechanical electrical works

Pitt Street Station will be opened to the public in 2024 when Sydney Metro City & Southwest services begin.
