The Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS) is the first building to be completed as part of Australian Unity’s $1.1 billion redevelopment of Hertson Quarter. The new specialist public health service features 182 beds, seven operating theatres, three endoscopy rooms and recovery spaces to serve and support patients who undergo speciality surgery and complex rehabilitation.

Fredon had early involvement on the project, completing the HV and LV system cutovers and temporary power before delivering the Design and Construction of all Electrical, Communication and Specialist Services which included:

  • Energy Monitoring
  • Uninterrupted Power Supplies
  • General, Specific & Emergency Lighting Systems

  • Security-Access Control, CCTV, Duress
  • Distributed Antenna and Paging Systems

The project reached practical completion in 2020.
