The NSW Government has redeveloped Sydney Football Stadium into a new modern, world-class venue, to ensure Sydney has a sporting and entertainment precinct of an international standard and that NSW remains the number one choice for sporting and entertainment events.

The redevelopment involved the construction of a new stadium featuring a rectangular playing pitch with the capacity to seat 42,500. The new stadium will offer visitors and patrons an improved entertainment experience through enhanced design and improvements in accessibility, safety, fan and player experience and overall improved operations. The public domain areas surrounding the stadium will include public recreational and leisure spaces.

Fredon was engaged for the Electrical and Communication works on the project with the following scope:

  • Design, supply, install a new high voltage network
  • Low voltage network
  • UPS system
  • Standby power system
  • Lighting system
  • Communications ICT System includes passive ICT System.

The project reached completion in August 2022, in time for the NRL Finals Series.
