Located in the heart of North Sydney CBD, Victoria Cross integrated station development is part of Australia’s biggest public transport program, Sydney Metro.

The integrated station development will feature a new metro station located 31 metres below ground level, as well as over station developments including the construction of a new three-level commercial and retail hub and a 42-storey commercial office building that will sit on top of the southern entrance of the station.

Fredon has been engaged to assist in the completion of the design, for the supply, install, testing and commissioning of the electrical and communications infrastructure works associated with the project.

Works include:

  • main switchboards, distribution boards and consumer mains
  • power factor correction equipment, active harmonic filtration, metering and surge protection
  • submain cabling and connections
  • cabling reticulation, conduiting and cable containment
  • general power and lighting
  • lighting control system
  • emergency lighting
  • communications systems, fibre backbone and cabling
  • earthing and bonding
  • temporary services.

North Sydney commuters, residents and visitors can look forward to 2024, when the new metro station is scheduled to open.
