Stage 2 of Orion Springfield Shopping Centre’s development includes a new AHL Event Cinema alongside 80 additional speciality shops and major retailers Coles and Target.

The new cinema is a 2000-Seats Eight-Screen Events Cinema Complex featuring Two Gold Class Screens and Two Vmax Screens.

Buildcorp engaged Fredon to complete the electrical, communications, audio visual and security fit-out works for the cinema.

Scopes of works included:

• The off-site manufacture, supply and installation of the main switchboard and specialised distribution boards.
• Supply and install of specialised feature lighting, back of house lighting, and emergency and exit lighting.
• Specialist sound system and communications cabling and public address, CCTV and security systems were also supplied and installed.

The new cinema officially opened in November 2015.
