Fredon received the NECA ACT Award for Industrial Small project for the supply and installation of new manual transfer and generator connection facilities at Canberra and Erindale Colleges. Both schools remained operational during the works, which were completed in short timeframes.
ACT State Winner: Commercial Small – CSIRO Data 61 Fitout, Electrical & Communications
The CSIRO Data 61 Electrical and Communications fitout was completed by Fredon in November 2018. Fredon were engaged to complete all demolition of the existing Data 61 floor space and complete the new electrical and communications upgrades as part of a whole fit-out.
Data 61 has a specific brand which was showcased throughout their office space in building details as well as in the light fittings which were customised specifically for Data 61.
Certificate of Commendation: National Library of Australia
The National Library of Australia project was completed in January 2018 and involved electrical and communication construction, reactive and planned maintenance, small works, facilities management, thermography and fibre works. Fredon were engaged directly by the National Library of Australia to upgrade the lighting in their theatre space, where we worked closely with the consultant to install a solution to meet the clients needs.
We installed colour changing LED extrusion behind timber panels on the sides of the theatre, and a set of 3 colour changing LED extrusions in the “wave ceiling”. The lights are controlled by a Dynalite based system, and controlled from the podium or the Bio box, providing user-friendly access to create a scene tailored to their requirements.
