On the 30th of June, Fredon attended the 2023 Air Conditioning & Mechanical Contractors Association (AMCA) Annual Gala Dinner and Industry Awards. The awards acknowledge and commend the accomplishments and achievements of up-and-coming leaders in the HVAC industry.
Fredon is proud to announce that we had two talented engineers who were recognised on the evening:
Samuel Sacks – Winner Engineering & Technical Award
Samuel is a highly skilled Engineer at Fredon Air (NSW) who has worked on several major hospital projects since commencing with the company in 2016.
His passion for engineering design has seen him go above and beyond his day-to-day duties and dedicate his time and skillset to the refinement and development of engineering tools and design processes. In his time with the business, he has introduced automation into major equipment scheduling as well as developed a comprehensive hydronic calculations spreadsheet. These tools have been integrated into Fredon’s core design procedures and have contributed significantly to efficiency in the design process.
Samuel is currently the Project Designer Manager for the New Griffith Base Hospital project, where he oversees all aspects of the HVAC design.
As State winner, Samuel is now in contention for the AMCA National Industry Awards which will be held in November this year.
Jason Del Rosario – Runner Up Finalist Future Leader Award
Jason joined Fredon in 2019 with a desire to specialise in Mechanical Services after working 3 years as a building services engineer on the Northwest Sydney Metro Line. As a Engineer, he has played crucial roles on our hospital projects like Campbelltown Redevelopment. He currently co-leads HVAC design and delivery for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead’s 15-story Paediatric Services Building.
Jason’s dedication and continuous skill development in HVAC systems are evident as he actively seeks knowledge, asks targeted questions, and contributes innovative ideas backed by evidence and experience. He excels as a team player and readily assumes leadership responsibilities to foster collaboration and achieve collective success. With his determination and eagerness to learn, Jason is poised to thrive in various roles within the industry.
