We’re proud to share that Fredon ACT has been recognised at the 2025 NECA ACT Excellence Awards, receiving the Voice/Data Communications and Audio Visual Small Project award.
The award celebrates our work on the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing’s Yaradhang Building in Woden, ACT, where Fredon was engaged to deliver communications and MATV cabling services across Levels 3 and 5.
Completed in April 2025, the project involved the installation of over 79,000 metres of Cat 6A cabling, more than 1,400 outlets, and six Class C SCEC-endorsed racks, all delivered within a tightly scheduled construction program. Our team also performed comprehensive testing and compliance works to meet Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC) standards.
Named after the Ngunnawal word for eucalyptus, the Yaradhang building reflects the Department’s focus on wellbeing. We’re proud to have contributed to this purpose-built facility with a solution that upholds both technical excellence and national security standards.
