Fredon was awarded the Mechanical contract on 6 Hassall Street, a new 19 level commercial and educational A-grade development in Parramatta’s CBD.

The new build is a collaboration between Charter Hall and Western Sydney University. The top 11 storeys are commercial office spaces, and the lower levels have transformed into a vertical campus for engineering students from the university.

Fredon started works on the project in March 2020, and delivered:

• Single plant room to serve the whole building featuring chillers, AHUs, cooling towers, HW generators, pumps, heat exchangers
• Chilled water systems, Hot water systems and Secondary Condenser water systems
• Low-temperature VAV distribution system for typical floors
• Five-floor fit out completed for Western Sydney University served by condenser water PAC units
• Automated BMS for control
• Target of 5-star Greenstar and NABERS ratings including silver WELL rating

The project was completed in 2021.
