Walsh Bay Art Precinct is an iconic Sydney destination and home to some of Australia’s leading performing art organisations.

The precinct is undergoing a significant redevelopment, which involves the internal and external refurbishment of existing structures at Wharf 4/5, new venues on Pier 2/3 and the renewal of the surrounding infrastructure.

Fredon was engaged for a multiservice offering to complete the Design and Construct of the Electrical and Communication, Mechanical, Technology and Security services across the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct. Works completed include:

Electrical & Communication

  • Lighting Installation
  • Lighting Control Systems (House and Performance Lighting)
  • Power Installation
  • Containment Systems (Sub mains, Communication, AV Systems)
  • Electrical Reticulation (Sub Mains , Main Switch Boards, Distribution Boards)
  • HV – LV Consumer mains reticulation
  • Communication Reticulation (Copper and Fibre Back bone)
  • MATV System
  • Integrated Communication Network System (Incorporating MATV,AV, Security, BMS Systems)
  • Cat 6A Field Wiring Data System (Including Racks and associated Equipment)

HVAC

  • New Central Refrigeration Plant
  • Harbour Heat Rejection System
  • Essential Smoke Exhaust System
  • New Building Management Control System
  • Displacement Theatre Air Conditioning

Technology

  • Theatre AV Patching Infrastructure
  • Performance & Theatrical Lighting
  • Integrated Control via Crestron and QSC
  • Sitewide Digital Signage

Security

  • Electrical Access Control System
  • Intruder alarm, duress alarms
  • PA System, CCTV System

Wharf 4/5 of Walsh Bay was completed in December 2020.

Fredon also complete installation works at Walsh Bay for Pier 2/3.
