The Stage 1 redevelopment at Bowral & District Hospital is a Health Infrastructure commitment to provide better healthcare to the community in the Southern Highlands region of New South Wales.

The four-storey clinical services building features a new Emergency Department, operating theatres and procedure room, adult and paediatric inpatient unit, maternity unit and birthing suites.

Fredon was engaged for the HVAC Design and Construction in Stage 1 of the redevelopment, providing full mechanical air handling plant, air conditioning and ventilation to all areas.

The team also integrated the Building Management System (BMS), installed the Heating and Chilled Water plants, steam plant serving the Central Sterile Services Department, specialist exhaust systems and isolation room designs.

The Clinical Services Building was opened to the public in December 2020.
