Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre is a new urban pool complex, and it is one of the largest pools built in Sydney since the 2000 Olympics.

The recreational centre is located in Green Square and features a 50-metre heated outdoor pool and a unique beach-inspired leisure pool designed to mimic Sydney’s coastal pools. Indoor facilities include a 25-metre heated pool, leisure pool and a heated hydrotherapy pool. The centre also has a multipurpose sports field, gym with an outdoor yoga deck, cafe and creche facilities.

CPB Contractors engaged Fredon to design and supply the electrical, communications, security and audio visual works.

Works began in October 2018 and included the following:

Electrical and Communications:

• Install MSB and Submains
• Earthing and Bonding
• LV Power Supplies and Outlets
• Distribution Boards, UPS Systems
• Lightning Protection and control system
• Lighting supply and install
• Incoming fibre and copper connections
• Backbone cabling, Horizontal Cat6a Cabling and outlets
• Install WiFi, supply WiFi devices and equipment

Security:

• Access Control, Intruder Detection, CCTV, Intercom, Duress Alarms

Audio Visual:

• PA System, Indoor and Outdoor Screens, Digital Signage

The Aquatic and Recreation centre was open to the public in February 2021.
