Fredon delivered the Electrical and Communication services to the new Hanwha Armoured Vehicle Centre of Excellence (H-ACE) for Hanwha Defence Australia, located in Geelong Victoria.

The H-ACE will support delivery of Defence contracts awarded to Hanwha Defence Australia. Construction of the H-ACE is expected to create over 100 construction jobs as part of the facility build through 2022-2024.

Hanwha Defence Australia will initially manufacture Self-Propelled Howitzers and Armoured Ammunition Resupply Vehicles at the H-ACE. The facility includes:

• Multiple assembly lines and workshops
• Paint facility
• A 1,500-metre test track
• A deep-water test facility
• An R&D Centre
• An obstacle course to test capability

Delivery of the Electrical and Communication services was completed in March 2024, with the H-ACE scheduled for completion in August 2024.
