Fredon was engaged to complete the communications infrastructure on the HMAS Stirling Redevelopment Stage 3A Project. The redevelopment included upgrades, refurbishments, expansions and repairs to the facilities and infrastructure on the Royal Australian Navy’s naval base located on Garden Island in Western Australia.

This major communication upgrade involved Fredon supplying and installing 100 Communications Cabinets, replacing 80 switchboards, upgrading over 100 existing switchboards, completing 15 kilometres of pit and pipework, 290 kilometres of optical fibre cabling, and over 14,000 optical fibre splices.

Fredon completed the works in February 2020.
