Swinburne University of Technology is a leading dual-sector institution known for its commitment to high-quality teaching, practical focus and graduate outcomes.

As part of its ongoing evolution, Fredon Air VIC was engaged to modernise and improve the plumbing training facility at its Croydon campus.

The transformation turned basic classrooms into a cutting-edge training facility, providing the plumbers of our future with the skills and knowledge required to install and service both domestic and commercial gas appliances.

The team safely supplied and monitored LPG and natural gas to the plumbing training facility which incorporates a range of appliances from domestic to commercial cooking equipment.

The scope of work included:

• Installation of a new LPG system and natural gas system from existing pipework
• Installation of 38 natural gas and LPG domestic and commercial appliances
• Commercial kitchen canopy
• Gas detection systems
• Controls to operate gas solenoids in conjunction with the operation of outside air and exhaust fans
• New MSSB provided to the facility

Works were completed in November 2024.
