Wonthaggi Hospital is located 135km south-east of Melbourne and serves the local Bass Coast Shire community. The hospital is undergoing development to expand its health services to cater for the growing population.

The expansion will include three new operating theatres, procedure rooms, treatment spaces, a 32-bed inpatient ward and a new emergency department.

Fredon was engaged to deliver the project’s Mechanical services. Works include:

• Air Cooler Chilled Water Plant
• Heating Hot Water Plant
• Air Handling Units
• Fan Coil Units
• Isolation Rooms
• Medical Gas Systems

The expansion reached practical completion in late 2022.
