The head office for The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment is now located in the heart of Orange’s CBD, on the site of the former Orange Base Hospital.

The new four-story building was designed and built to meet the 5-Star Green Star rating and features solar panels, water harvesting, and Electric Car chargers for staff.

Fredon delivered the mechanical base building and fit-out services of the office space, retail area, toilets, end of trip facilities and the car park.

Works completed include:

• Central plant on level 3 & 4 plant rooms
• Low temp AHU & VAV HVAC system with supplementary AC units
• General ventilation for toilets
• General exhaust throughout the office building.

The building officially opened in September 2020.
