The NECA National Excellence Awards 2025 were held on Thursday, 27 November at The Star Brisbane, recognising standout achievements across the electrical and communications industry and celebrating winners selected from state-level competitions.
We are proud to announce that the Fredon VIC Electrical team has been awarded the Commercial Large Project award for the Wyndham Law Courts project.
Commercial Large Project – Wyndham Law Courts
Delivered in partnership with Lendlease, the Wyndham Law Courts development is the largest court complex outside Melbourne’s CBD. The facility includes thirteen courtrooms, four hearing rooms, three mediation suites, and twenty-six day-only holding cells, designed to support the growing Wyndham local government area.
Fredon delivered the complete electrical and communications package, incorporating main switchboards, UPS, DAS, EV charging stations, and a 160kW rooftop solar system. The project posed complex challenges in sequencing, coordination, and design integration. To meet these demands, the VIC Electrical team utilised BIM modelling, advanced seismic design, and DALI lighting systems to achieve efficiency, sustainability, and long-term operational performance.
Targeting a 6 Star Green Star – Design & As Built rating, the project integrated key sustainability initiatives including solar generation, smart lighting controls, and significant waste reduction and recycling programs.
Congratulations to our VIC Electrical team for setting a new benchmark in delivering major public infrastructure.
