We are delighted to officially welcome our new Chief Operating Officer at Fredon, Nick Luzar.

Nick brings over 30 years of commercial construction experience and has delivered projects across NSW and VIC. As an executive, Nick has been responsible for businesses across QLD, WA, SA and NT in addition to NSW and Victoria. While his background has been predominantly involved in delivering traditional commercial buildings such as Hospitals, Schools, Universities and Defence projects, he has also had the opportunity to be involved in civil infrastructure, tunnelling and rail projects. These experiences bring a wealth of understanding of the markets in which we already operate and in others that we are looking to expand into.

As COO, Nick is responsible for the operational Electrical, Infrastructure, HVAC and Sturdie businesses. His role is to support our construction businesses in the conversion of new work, delivering on our contractual obligations in a safe, efficient and sustainable way and providing support and guidance on the strategic direction of the business.

Nick is passionate about supporting the community, education and diversity and he is committed to developing the future of the Australian construction industry, having been previously employed by UNSW as a part time lecturer in the Faculty of the Built Environment.

Since commencing with Fredon on Monday, January 30 2023, Nick has been visiting our offices and projects, getting to know our people and the Fredon business whilst getting a better understanding of how we operate across the country.

The appointment of Nick Luzar to COO comes less than two months after Fredon announced the acquisition of Sturdie Trade Services.
